Anime Club
This is my happy place. I've been a member of Anime Club since my sophomore year and Its given me some of the best memories of my high school experience. Last year our former advisor Mr. Guss left and since then I've been able to find a new advisor in Mr. Yang. This year I was able to become president and its been the most fun I've had so far. Here we have food every club meeting, play a bunch of games having to do with anime and just enjoy each others company.

Close-Up
This is a program that thanks to the Migrant Program allowed me to go Washington DC. Here I was able to meet our districts Congressman Devin Nunes and see almost all of the memorials and monuments. My favorite of which was the WWII memorial that had huge columns of each state and United States Territory. (Also the only memorial/ monument with clean water) I also participated in Mock Congress in where I was selected to be a Senator and came in second to be President. I'm grateful for the experience and glad that I get to go again.
H.I.T Group
Back during my sophomore year I was part of what was then know as the H.I.T Group which stood for Honors In Training. We were the up and coming new kids who were going to take over for the Honor Group once they graduated. During this time we didn't do any gigs that were too big, but one of the most memorable ones was when we played for "Peggy the Pirate." A play that was performed by one of the local elementary schools. This was definitely one of the most memorable experiences of my high school life.
LHS Honor Group
It was our time. After being a part of the H.I.T Group it was our time to become the actual Honor Group. Although we unfortunately weren't able to make it through the entire year together we did have a lot of fun moments. The gigs were bigger than when we were the H.I.T Group so the stakes were higher and the practicing became more frequently. Overall I think the most memorable gig was when we went up to Three Rivers. It was called "The Concert on the Grass." When we got there it was raining so no big deal we just went inside, but then the power went out. We still performed, but that was definitely unforgettable.
Advanced Guitar
This is my second year in Advanced Guitar so I'm glad that I've been in guitar for four years now. In these four years of guitar I've made stronger bonds with my friends and have also been able to make new friends. I've been able to connect to other people thanks to music so I am forever grateful for my experience with the LHS Guitar Program. We've done a lot, but I think everyone can agree that one of the most memorable experiences comes when 1. Performing at the end of the year recital 2. Playing at KVPR (radio station.) KVPR is only for the advanced class so I'm glad I've been able to go twice now.
Migrant Program
I've been a part of the Migrant Program for also long as I can remember. They've given me so much in my time here that it's unbelievable. Some of these things include; giving me opportunity to go on different field trips where I can visit other college campuses, giving me the resources to be prepared for school, giving me a job as part of their Work Study Program and the list goes on. I've been able to make so many friends from other places thanks to the Migrant Program. They've aloud me to meet people who think like me and I can relate to (my homie Ruben over here.)
MSLI
This was definitely the most amazing experience that the Migrant Program has given me. MSLI stands for Migrant Student Leadership Institute. It was a two week stay at CSU Channel Islands where I for the most part was able to get my mind off of a lot of things. Life was kinda kicking me down and this was the perfect place to get my mind off of everything. I met a lot of people who helped me not be so down and I also got to finish a college class. Not only that, but I visited the Channel Islands themselves and got to see baby dolphins. There is so much I can say about this trip; My roommates were awesome, the food was great, the friends I made were the coolest, I got a new nickname, the environment was beautiful and I could go on and on and on. Overall the experience was one that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.
